Hi Everybody!
I haven't posted in awhile, although I did write a draft last week. But it descended into complaining, and I just couldn't bring myself to be publicly gripe, again : |
Naturally, it's been a busy two weeks, but my paper is coming along, and I'll have another tract-tracing case to examine after this weekend. In house news, we have more contractors coming in to replace some windows in the house tomorrow, and D moved a bunch of stuff into storage on the third floor. Oh! And the heating inspector signed off on our HVAC permit! Yay!
The bad news of the week is that I lost my phone. I've been resisting getting a new one, hoping it would turn up, but I think I'll have to go to the T-Mobile store tomorrow. Which isn't too bad, since I'll be able to get one that actually has an alarm - I couldn't believe it when my phone didn't have one - it's the most useful feature, besides the phone part!
That's about it - I don't even have any good cooking stories for all of you! Hopefully I'll make something this weekend & post again. In the meantime, hope you're all having a good week, and got a bit of the warm weather.

Sweetheart,
you are right about Descartes, I got confused because, as I remember, he put it forth as "Cogito ergo sum." and I thought that it was Seneca.
I was young when I read that and remember being confused as to the identity of the Great Deceiver. I had been brought up to think that it was someone else.
Johnson dealt with the same issue by kicking a rock. The English have never been as sophisticated as the French. Don't buy English pots!

P.S. You must feel very proud of yourself, waiting all these years, like a spider, for me to stumble into your trap. Tribeck would be proud of you. How many people can fit in your kitchen?
